Slow Landscape: Whispers of the Wild
VanniKloof Studio in collaboration with Leliekloof Lodge
VanniKloof Studio invites artists to submit work for Slow Landscape: Whispers of the Wild, a group exhibition to be held at Leliekloof Lodge in the Stormberg mountains.
Set within a remote, rural landscape, this exhibition considers nature not simply as a subject, but as an experience shaped by time, stillness, and presence. Rather than a single opening event, the exhibition unfolds gradually over four months to be encountered by guests and visitors who visits, stay, and engage with the work in quiet, everyday moments.
We welcome submissions that respond to landscape in its broadest sense. This may include natural environments, memory, abstraction, or personal interpretations of place. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of slowing down, isolation, rhythm, distance, and connection to land.
